New Potato Cold Store

Construction has just been completed of a new 1,800 tonnes potato cold store.

The cooling system incorporates an enlarged condenser coil, enabling the cooling fluid to operate at a higher temperature. This reduces condensation within the store and consequently minimises product weight loss. This pioneering system was developed by Crop Systems.

The store is equipped with a 140 kW solar array connected to two 100 kWh battery storage systems.

We have also upsized our wooden storage boxes from 1.1 tonnes to 1.25 tonnes.
